You have inspired me to get organized! I started by creating a "House" file that includes all important documents that relate to my home--the closing statement from original purchase, receipts from major expenditures, main page from insurance policies and videos of my home interior for insurance purposes. I know this will save trips downtown to my bank safe deposit box when I need to access the information. Next up...scan a copy of my passport and titles for my car and boat.
